Dibir Haor

Dibir Haor is located right by the side of Bangladesh and India border in Sylhet, Jointapur. It is 42 km from Sylhet city. There are four bills in the name of Yam, DB, Harafkata, Kendri Bill. After the rainy season, the bills become Shapala’s kingdom. Thousands of red Lilies are spread all over the bill. In the morning thousands of red lilies are lit around.

DB’s haor red shapala flowers are usually seen in September to December. November is the best time of the month. And to see the glory of the shapla, one must reach before the sun light is coming up. Thousands of shapalas in the morning catch themselves in the water of the bill to shine on their beauty.

From Dhaka: Gbatali, Fakirapool, Saidabad and Mohakhali bus terminals, the AC / Non-AC buses depart from Sylhet for the transit of Green Line, Saudia, S Alam, Shyamoli, Ana, from 12am to 45pm. These bus fares range from 400 to 1100 taka.

From Sylhet buses, CNG autorickshaw or private car will have to come to Jintapur with rent. It may take 1500 to 1800 taka to reserve CNG-driven auto rickshaws for the entire day. Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) DB’s Haur camp will be visible if the Jantapur bazaar is a little further. Shapala Beel is located 1 km along this campsite. If you want to come to DB haor from Kadamtali in Sylhet by bus, do not get off the bus at Jintapur Bazar 2 km in front of DB haor camp, only 1 km from village road to reach DB Bill. Shapla bills may require rent of 300-400 rupees if you want to roam the boat.
